I haven't been "into" NIN for a long time, but I have to say, I'd be sorely tempted to catch this tour...

i'm not particularly worried. after the with teeth/year zero tours Trent said 'nin as a rock band is finished' and then bam, the slip.

Trent's been saying this for a while now, but I'd always just thought that what it really meant was that NIN as a live entity is coming to an end as he searches for new ways to deliver music to fans, and I kinda guessed that's what the whole things with Ghosts and The Slip was about. He's been so creative over the last few years that I find it hard to believe he will be able to resist releasing material as downloads, even if NIN as an actual band no longer exists. You could argue it never really did in the first place.

I've read the message again. And i think it's not that horrible if they quit.. because nine inch nails IS trent reznor, and i don't really think he's going to stop making music so... probably he would come up with something great which i'll surely love.
