Hello peoples. I love dark, moody, evil music and I thought this might be a "fun" subject. I always find it amazing how much stuff I dig though but how little I find that I actually like :cry: , most comes off too cheesy like it was made to be pt in a ep of Buffy, not that I have anything wrong with Buffy, and I'm sure some [most] of you will still find this a little cheesy :p

Here's some ritual ambient bands, like Zero Kama and Arktau Eos, Halo Manash, Zöat-Aon that I really like, and some more of dark ambient stuff.

@Blackened Soul: nice to hear You too get the kicks and the chills out of it. :thumb: Thought I'd present another angle to dark music, perhaps less explored here. The underground scene here in Finland is pretty active. I've collaborated a bit and hang out with guys since the scene is pretty small and it tends to overlap with a corner of the black metal circles I've been active in.

You can also clearly notice the two main lines in the dark ambient family tree: the one branch coming from old experimental industrial that Coil, Throbbing Gristle, Skinny Puppy, Laibach and the rest represents. Then there is the branch that was spawned in the early to mid nineties from the Scandinavian Black Metal and Gothic circles, the new skool around the Cold Meat Industry label and others.
