So how much use is your Fingerprint getting? In what contexts do you turn it on?

I'm working on my chain right now and will post later. It's interesting reading everyone's chain description and why. If only we could all get in a room and show off.

Fuzz Factory > Torns Peaker > Foxx Tone Machine clone > fuck overdrive > supa tone

I use the FF for velcro, TP for trebly low gain fuzz, tone machine set low for some weird ring mod-ish shit, fuck set as kindof a "tone enhancer" with a slight boost, supa tone for muffiness.

I stack them all over the place.

I had to go play it and think about it... I have it early in the chain and the knobs are set L-R - 2 o'clock - 10 o'clock - 10 o'clock... I use it to beef up everything after it... It kills into the Dinosaur, Algal, Snowdrift (which is really a Fingerprint +) and Chalice... It just adds something big and beefy but alone it's kinda crunchy and not too big sounding... I like it alot and and super happy I got it from you...

I forgot to mention...

I also like to have the FoxRox Octron (with a little bit of dirt on the octave up) first in the chain.
And the Catalinbread Heloitrope with the gain at minimum before my OD.

I like it too, but it is a bit like asking for favorite vintages in a meeting of alcoholics anonymous.

Also can't wait for news on Fairfield Circuitry new pedal The Unpleasant Surprise (Experimental Fuzz/Gate).

I'm definitely getting an exp pedal for mine, seems like you could do some amazing stuff with it!

That's a lot of dirt pedals! :thumb: I'd love to set up that many things and play around with combinations.

Thanks... All to make old Shoegaze and Madchester sounds... Off to the side that I switch in and out are DOD Gonkulator and Death Metal, Digitech Grunge, Wolly Mammoth, BBE Free Fuzz, Jero Sleazy Drive, Chk Chk Boom, Algal Bloom XS, another Ab-Synth, Great Wall 3k and an old Cort Mix-10... Love em all for some reason or another... I think Nels Cline was saying it's like a painter having lots of colors and that's what I hear so... Tim Hecker and Fennesz make beautiful Dirt...

 yeah, i'm not an orthodox fuzzer like some of you and i'm quite surprised some of you even understood me when i talked about DLS being transparent and adding a bit of dirt :D glad you guys like it, it's interesting to read and it can even spark interest for some pedals ;) keep it coming

of course i'm always compelled to get something new.... the thing is i somehow don't like when i turn some pedal on only once or twice per show  if i didn't, i'd own at least two more fuzzes... maybe one day i shall overcome

(probably the day i'll own a practice amp again.. being able to write with effects helps)

This fall should be full of changes - hopefully new city, university, new band(s)... i could finally find musicians that'd fit my style so i could write music for my band again... my last band didn't fit very well so i mainly ended up trying to figure out how to apply my sounds to someone else's music

I want to hear all of that on at once. With feedback loops.
