Sounds nice, if a bit dark for my taste. Can it get more trebly? The boost into it in the heavy clip sounds awesome. :thumb:

It can get a bit more treble but it's overall a pretty dark fuzz, I guess I just gravitate towards the darker tones, I'll see if I can include one with more treble this week.

That's cool, I was just wondering since I'm more into trebly stuff. It's probably also one of those things where it sounds brighter and less muffled in the room, I always get that when I'm recording.

If you roll the left tone knob down and the right tone up in silicon mode, you can get a brighter, more present tone that sounds really bad ass!

As stated above, it's hard to capture in demos though. Definitely sounds bigger and more lively/dynamic in person, imo.

Oh no doubt about that, wish I had the gear and know-how to truly capture the sound. I'm just creating more gas now

Have You not heard of the Green House effect

Thanks for this. It was a good and fair demo and all, I'm still somehow more drawn to the Earthbound Audio, Robot Factory and Dwarfcraft doom muffins myself :idk:

I think my two most lusted for Muff variants are the Gnomeratron and the Wren and Cuff Tall Font. I've nearly bought a Pharaoh three or four times but my gas inexplicably has subsided as of late. No rational explanation, but I just don't want one as badly as I did for a long time. I guess part of the problem is that I already have a pretty decent Muff clone (Dice Works Muff Diver) and there is some part of me that won't allow more than one Muff style fuzz to be in the stable at any one time.....though for a while that rule was broken while I had a Eau Claire Thunder, too. Wondering how people think that one stands up to pedals like the Pharaoh, Hoof, and Gnomeratron, and Musket.

I think Wes Mantooth is doing a "high gain shootout" that will include the Eau Claire in the near future...

As for the Gnomeratron, don't think it's fair to compare directly to the others mentioned. It's capable of far more than any "muff variant" I've ever tried and owns in the tweakability department, deserves a category unto itself. With this comes a "learning curve" though, far from plug and play imo, not to say that you won't stumble across awesome tones by accident.

EDIT: My Gnome is the Deluxe which probably adds to the endless tonal options. A standard may dial in far easier, never tried one myself.

I'll be doing a comparison of my ECT, Fuzz War, Manx as well as the Pharaoh Schnikes lent me.

Also I'll compare the Gnomeratron once I get the tourbox :thumb:

I think I'm just going to dial in my favorite high gain fuzz tone on each and play an identical riff, that sound like a good plan? Kinda like that huge delay shootout that Taylor Barefoot did.

Any requests for what riff I should play? Keep in mind I'm not the most skilled player, I just want something big and heavy :thumb:
