since i've had good luck with TC stuff i'd say Nova Repeater. i never hear people complain about their TC gear dying in the middle of important operations. i just bought the Flashback recently, which i like a lot, but if i had room on my board i'd have gotten the Repeater instead of the Flashback because it's more tweakable, and given the extent to which you tweak your gear i think you'd find the Flashback way too limited. out of your other options, i just don't trust E-H gear for reliability and i know nothing of the JamMan.

Couple of TGP dudes say they like it, I am dubious. Original $378 street price didn't really impress me, was going to wait for a used unit....then the price went up inexplicably. :idk: Now, I'm hearing they discontinued it because they ran out of the chips. EHX is a fucking trainwreck.

Digi Time Bender is an underrated monster that does a lot of neat stuff and is very forgiving of loud, ugly effects in the chain.

The looper on it is sort of so-so (and well, I have a Jamman for that anyway), but the analog sims and ducking analog are amazing, and the fact that you can use the hamonizer etc with almost any conceivable setting as well is way way cool. It's not cheap but is well worth it.

Ever since I discovered how to use tap tempo, I don't know why people can't live without it. :idk:

Yeah, it's a sleeper, for sure.
They're fairly cheap used these days. I just got one on ebay for $150.

DD-20 seriously if you're gigging it's the easiest to use most versatile pedal.

and the only real differences between any of these pedals is going to be what you hear not anyone else. if it's recorded or live there's so many other factors going on it's not really going to make that big of a difference. :idk:
try and find one that feels easy to use to you.

I like the strum tempo better than tap tempo though, mostly because my feet to brain connection sometimes gets lost:

I tried a Timebender and a Memory Boy in a store and liked them both....though I don't own them and have not battle tested them.....so I can't give them any full stamp of approval or anything. I did own an RE-20 and liked that quite a bit though I wasn't using that in a live playing context....but I did like the tap tempo feature.

I don't have a Timebender but I played one in the store for about an hour and thought it was great. I started a thread on here a while back and everyone responding pretty much said it was a piece of crap --- but that was not my experience of it.

Yeah I got my timebender for 100 used but with Manual and Power Supply: Crazy deal compared with new. My current favorite setting is reverse modulated and pitch changed 2 octaves up, it is set up to almost no delay time and a few repeats and just adds something crazy to the guitar sound. Sounds great accenting loops.
