this little thread rules. been on the same tip for a while now.
also try out earthless, witch, and dead meadow (they're not heavy like they are psychedelic, the singer's voice though, somehow gets under my skin).
and I definitely back holy schnikes about Torche. such a great band. already got my tix for july 16th in DC: torche, big business, helms alee. EPIC.
speaking of which, helms alee is another awesome band to check out if you haven't.

For death doom; Haunted Menace, Coffins, Volition.
For 'extreme doom'?; Moss, Bunkur.

This is kind of a stretch from bands in this thread, but I think you'll enjoy some Lair of the Minotaur

Fuzzifer is a brand new group, we're hoping to make a release later this year. Until then, check myspace for sludgey-droning jazzy black psychedelia.

I actually headhunted the group to back me up for the bands first gig, got a photographer to do publicity pics and though it seems kinda silent and slow at the moment, I'm tugging sleeves of the old contacts I got from the previous bands (Enochian Crescent, Cantata Sangui, Kaaos In Eccentris etc). SO yeah, just got off my ass and started a new band, after my longish paternity leave from the gigging bands.

I'll keep You updated.

these demos aren't fit for release, but i'm glad they're good enough to get peoples interest.
Hopefully soon we'll get a Factor recording grant, because the drums need to be done in a proper studio,
and we need to pay for a full string and horn musicians (no offence to the volunteers that have helped so far)
The band is still getting better anyways, so I guess there's no rush to get a fixed document released.
it'd be really great if we did manage a cross canada tour by the end of the year!
but for now we got the Swervedriver opening slot at NXNE! woot woot!!
now posting as Forrrest.
