Re: morpheus droptune
yeah it's not a bad pitchshifter for it's price. i've seen it around here and there and from what I've heard, the tracking is a bit off. i guess this would be the next best thing when compared to the eventide pitchfactor, however.

The guitarist in my covers band uses it. I've been impressed. It never glitches out and the latency isn't noticible to me.

This was my experience when I tried one out as well, really impressive results with the Droptune.

I tried one out at the guitar center and it felt a little gimmicky to me. Digital polyphonic octaving is pretty popular these days and unless it does something cool, like give you lots of modulating abilities or filters or multiple octaves I don't get all that excited. I'd get a ring thing instead of this based on price and features, it has the latency thing about as bad as the Morpheus but has zillions of modulation options.

I played it at GC as well. Fun. Definitely digitalk as can be, but does ideal tracking in my mind. You can tap a momentary switch that allows you to return to orignal pitch...kinda like what the new Whammy cosigned on. That function was fun for me. Digital hammers.

Re: morpheus droptune
It definitely has a bit of digital chirp to it, but my guitarist always uses some dirt/distortion after it, which chills it out a bit. Makes it so you really can't tell.
