I'll be picking one up sooner than later. I just keep getting scared that my name will pop up on this mk1.5 list. I couldn't imagine spending $800+ on pedals in quick succession.

This is a two channel 1 watt amp that can also be used as a distortion pedal. It can be switched between a Marshall-like and a tweed-like voicing Uses a 12ax7 as the preamp tube and a 12DW7 as the power amp tube. Pretty much any 12( )7 tube can be used in either spot for a range of sounds. I've got it set up right now with a Mullard 12AT7 as the preamp tube and a Sylvania 12av7 as the power tube. Depending on the tubes can do everything from clean boost to high gain.

Dynamic, touch sensitive, un-compressed, throaty, ballsy....it gives you power amp distortion which has a great feel as well as sound to it. It is interesting to go from clean to distortion via your touch. Has a sound that isn't quite like solid state or pre-amp tube overdrives/distortions because it is actually giving you power tube distortion.

I like it a lot. You can get them much cheaper if you buy used like I did and they seem fairly plentiful used on ebay and the Gear Page.

Hate to sound like a TGP poster, but a timmy, or even a tube screamer. While I love my fuzz, for the most basic of sounds I can simply just use a cranked tube amp and drive it with something that'll just add that extra ooomf.

I seriously thought about putting down my Timmy, or a SHOD. Both awesome od's.

That's a tough one.

I guess it'd be a Paul Trombetta Design Mini-Bone v2.

I still have to say the Katana Sound Super Bass Fuzz. It just fits my whole playing and ideal sound so well.

I don't think I could answer but it would have to be some sort of Green Muff variant.

Mhm. I got a Creepy Fingers clone as my first fuzz pedal, and I doubt it'll ever leave me.

The old ones are really cool - the fuzz is pretty girthy, but it has some real give to it - kind of squishy, even in octave mode. Difficult to describe, I guess.
