I'm pretty sure you can compare both side by side when you load the new toneprint in. At least it seemed that way when I loaded a new one in my Hall of Fame.
There was an "A/B" button; I didn't try it myself because my stuff wasn't near my computer, so I'm not 100% sure.

Yes, you can A/B the one being loaded with the one on the pedal. But there is no way to preview online, as far as I can tell.

I have the Tri-Chorus print loaded on mine. Since it's not my only delay, I like the flexibility of being able to turn it into a chorus.

Also, I'm still working on a little "workaround" to trick the Tone Printer loader application into thinking my Flashback is actually a Hall of Fame. If I get it figured out, I'll let you know.

That would be awesome. If you do, definitely try out the Dark Hall verb.

Well, if I get it figured out, and things work the way I think they do, it should be possible to load *any* Tone Print download onto *any* of the Tone Print pedals. So like, you could have a delay print on the distortion pedal, or a flanger print on the chorus pedal. Or whatever. The fact that they just released a chorus Tone Print for the Flashback proves my earlier theory that it's all the same system underneath, and that the differences between any of the pedals is merely paint and a bit of code on the micro controller.

I'm like 75% there on figuring it out. I have one last hurdle, and then if that gets resolved, I think it will work.

Anyway, I'm gonna keep quiet until I figure it out (or give up). :joy:

more fun tricks, most if not all of which i cheerfully confess to stealing from the second PGS demo:

you can use the standard MOD mode as a chorus by shortening the delay time and fucking with the amount of Feedback. this is something i should have figured out using lateral thinking skills: a delay + modulation with the repeat shortened to the point of imperceptibility = a chorus!

if you use the REVERSE mode with the Feedback turned all the way down and set the Delay Time to the length of phrase you're going to play it'll spit the phrase you play back at you in perfect time, reversed.

the DYNAMIC mode appears in the 2nd demo to work OK if you keep the Feedback level down. i still have to mess with this to test.

the self-oscillating EP-3 TonePrint rules the school.

Awh man. I think the El Cap has a lot of lame hype but I have one and it fucking rules. I am enslaved to it.

It lives up to the hype and then has a whole nuther side to it that is unknown to most haters. A truly beautiful, dark, lofi side exposed only by the most fastidious tweakage. IMO anyways..

Btw culturejam I got my goods in the mail today (or maybe yesterday I dunno). Thanks for hookin me up man! You rock! Your PCB is super nice and so tiny!

I had an el cap and felt it was hyped in a major way, it had some cool sounds... But at the end of the day wasn't worth the price. The TC is just a high quality no frills delay.

It's well worth the price for me. Then again I bought mine used. Different strokes I guess.

I love my El Cap. The only reason I'd have a hard time parting with it is cause I love the infinite button.

I am very curious about the TC though.

Oh man the infinite button is hawt. I love making the delay swell up with it and then releasing it. I'm not sure how unique that feature is but I dig it.

The main reason I couldn't part with mine is the sound on sound looping mode. I love the way it sounds.
