This is gonna be killer. I still think one day is better for the out of towners finding a place to crash but I understand wanting two days so everyone has a decent time slot.

So Milwaukee bands Friday night, out-of-town bands Saturday night? That makes it easier for them traveling here and not having to get off work or whatever. Let me know if this works. Line-up would look like this (not sure of order, because I don't know how these things get decided.)

Friday:
The Abominable Showmen
Northless
Canyons of Static
Group of the Altos

Saturday:
(maybe another band?)
the bohemian spaceship
The Otto Modest
The Ronald Raygun (and ROT BOX?)

What time on Friday would it start?

So we'll mix it up and try to match bands that will sound good following each other, and factor in who can make it Friday or not. Hmm.

Is a 7PM start time too early? (on both Fri and Sat) That's when the earliest shows start at Cactus Club, etc. here. (Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday).

Also note that what I posted wasn't necessarily the order you'd play in. And it looks like it's gonna change anyways.

I'll try my best to find you guys a place to stay free or cheap, if you'd like to crash rather than live large in a fancy hotel. :thumb:

Had a band meeting last night in which I was reminded that this was my idea. Just wanted to make sure everyone knew how awesome I am. :lol: :lol: :snax: :whateva: :lol: :lol: :cry:

Also, are these both definitely going to be night shows? We're planning on booking a couple more shows in the region that week and are starting to make plans.

It can be whatever it needs to be at this point. The feeling in Milwaukee is that after dinner, you go out to shows/bars. In the middle of the summer you may go to festivals every weekend in the park or whatever.. but that's usually where you'd see music live during the day. And most weekends in the summer are already some sort of festival in Milwaukee :thumb:

7pm works great with us. It's just that I will have school that day and I got worried.

Also, someone should talk to a mod about getting this stickied.

The guys in my band (Me & Mountains) are being really noncommittal about this, so I'm gonna say they're not into it. Kind of a bummer since I really would have liked to played at this thing.

I'm going to need some folks to help me with the amount of stuff that needs to get done before September. I'm just starting a new fulltime job and planning a move so that my commute is shorter; consequently I can't do everything myself.

Things that would be awesome if you could volunteer to do:
* Promotion
* Graphic Design
* Manage the Facebook fan page
* Coordinate the bands, figure out the play order, keep in touch with them by PMs and emails to make sure they're still onboard.
* Coordinate with pedal builders to ensure we get some pedals in the art gallery.
* Help me with planning and tracking down a "backline" of speaker cabs, drum kit, and maybe amps..
* contacting media outlets, finding out advertising costs for local Milwaukee papers, getting us short ads on Radio Milwaukee, etc.
* Help me getting the website up and running and related to this:
* Help set up a Paypal or Kickstarter donations page.

You don't have to be in Milwaukee or even the midwest to help out. Just get in touch and I'll find something for you!

I'll be forever grateful and make sure you are rewarded for your contributions. Thanks! :thumb:

I just wanted to let everyone know that Northless is 100% confirmed to play, if you'll still have us...Looking forward to it! All fuzz makers and/or people who will sell/trade pedals: please bring TONS of stuff!!! I'm going to literally save as much money as I can between now and then and buy as much shit as possible at the fest!
