David Gilmour and Kevin Shields can afford them. That's basically it.

Transistor buffers are actually slightly less than unity gain. That's why a long line of Boss, DOD, etc pedals can suck your volume/tone. Cornish uses transistor buffers (at least in the G2 on FSB), so if everyone used his method, you wouldn't really gain anything.

You only need one buffer. Put it after your fuzz pedals if your fuzzes hate buffers. Done. If everything else is true bypass, you'll not get any more signal loss over the length of your cables. Plus, you won't get any more noise from the buffers! It's a win/win.

If you have a contractor or other similar professional in your family, you've probably heard of that guy that goes in and does the same job for twice the price, but somehow convinces everyone he's worth the price. Cornish is that guy.

I pretty positive someone on here bought one. I was more impressed that someone can save that much money more than anything. If I want a BM seed, Super Collider is for me. I think I read Gilmour went back to the EHX anyway...but who knows...or who cares? Actually a lot of people care. Why do so many people care about David Gilmour's tone? I never thought of him as someone with awesome tone, just someone who ruined Pink Floyd.

i bought a ng-2. wanted to demo it for you all a while ago but just never got around to it for one reason or another. soon though. now that i'm back home i'll have a lot more time to do shit like that. anyway, i don't know about much of his stuff. however, the ng-2 is the sickest dirt box i've ever owned. i can honestly say i've never heard anything like it before. i fucking quit smoking weed for 3 months to be able to afford this pedal before my name came up, and it was sooo worth it. that's saying something because i really love weed.

Yikes. I disagree with you so much, I think I sprained something. Piper is cool and all, but to me, it's a scatter-brained mess compared to Meddle through Animals.
