What's the deal with Cornish pedals?

Post by Wes Mantooth »

Maybe I'm a complete tool and missing something here, but I don't understand why people pay so much for these things :idk:

I'm not trying to troll or anything but I don't see what all the buzz is about :?:

I know I'd get murdered by the TGP corksniffers if I asked it over there :p

Well... as free stomp boxes proved... they're big muffs with buffers in, that's marketing for ya!

No kidding? For pedals that sell for almost a thousand dollars you'd think they would have better warranty service too. One year, non transferable for something that costs as much as all my fuzz combined?

I'm pretty sure they're more aimed at people who actually tour in a arenas and shit... not little bars and pubs. Sure they could be used anywhere but in this day and age people are like locusts and if they have the money then they think they can buy the reality too...

Doesn't quite work that way unfortunately and they just end up with Big Muffs with buffers in them

Fuck yes.

Also, the title of that picture is pasties_insert.jpg, which I find very appropriate. I want to insert them into my mouth. Or, insert something else...cough.

I fucking hate the word "pastie" it's far too British for my ears. Every time I hear something like that I am overcome the latent Revolutionary rage of my ancestors.

...but those do look delicious.

Cornish makes Gilmour's shit. That doesn't tell us anything about their quality because David Gilmour could make fucking a dead cat sound beautiful.

Or, in this case, a big muff with a buffer in it.

well i wanna know why they stay in business when it seems like all the pedals guys like these make is MAYBE 5 or 6 for 2 or 3 famous guys.
