getting this one currently built. Alder body, Maple Neck, Rosewood fretboard. Its gonna be sprayed "cream white" and its gonna have a humber on the neck and a single coil in the bridge. It will also have a black Tele Custom pickguard. Hopefully my buddy can finish it with in a month or so. He just has to hand carve the neck, fret it, spray it and put in all the electronics. He just started his luthier business and is going to get into it heavy as soon as he moves at the end of this month. Schofield Guitars is the name of it. He is making a firebird for this dude in Cali that looks fucking sick!

Nice!! Fuck, I wish I knew someone who could build me a quality guitar. You stand to save so much $$ and get a superior, custom spec instrument, can't beat that. What PUs did you decide on?

Nice design too, like a stretched out SG. Is there a contoured arm rest (JM style) or is it just a flat top?

i just got some GFS pickups. The single coil is their pro series vintage wound and the neck bucker is their Mean 90. And yes its awesome to have him build it for me. I got to choose EVERYTHING on the damn thing.

The custom shape guitar is my version of a bastard child of a SG and a Jazzmaster. It'll have a contour arm rest indeed. :joy:

Just snagged this one off the Musicman forum classifieds...going to have to sell my Single H now, but oh well...colour changing paint and ebony fretboard awesomeness rules out!
