So I have a pbass that needs a neck. I had to sell the other one a while back. Can't decide if I should buy a neck for this one, or just buy a kit and start over. The body is from a squier affinity so the pocket is a little different.
Is a squier vintage modified neck with tuners worth 120?

Eh, I'd say no, but I'm cheap. With patience and eBay, you could get something along those lines for $60-80.

I kind of had the same thought, but almost all of them on the bay are that much. Also, a lot of them are being sold in way diff condition than the ads say...how are you gonna say its "like new a++++" when I can see the fuzzing string wear on the frets?..and that's clearly a squier standard neck, not VM

Well, herm. I just bought a generic neck when I built myself a p-bass for like $50. Turned out just fine.

Did you buy it new? I thought about the GFS necks, but they won't fit in the pocket...which is another reason I may just buy a kit. Everything will fit right, and I'll have something to do!...I dunno

I literally bought the most generic neck I could find off of eBay. No brand name at all, bizarre headstock, odd description.
