OMG! So much this! I don't know how clean the boost is, but the preamp section of the DMM is sooooo good. Really takes your tonez and make them nice and warm.

I miss having a DMM. I need to pick up another one one day soon... and actually keep it this time.

i had a nice experience yesterday:
if you have a fuzz like gnomeratron vft or tafm with clean AND fuzz volume do the following:
tune a fuzz to trebly sound and put it in front of it (i used the wolf computer),
tune the second fuzz (that one with the separate volumes) to a bassy muffled sound (i used the gnomeratron vft) and turn both on. You get an ultra wide fuzz sound 'cause the first fuzz goes through the second one untouched with the clean volume. Absolutely amazing. So the "stacking" gets not too washed out or dull (yes, both could be also intended but this application is more "tight").

Hmm, I might do this with my Sparkle Drive (has a clean blend knob) and a darker-sounding overdrive in front of it, to get a wider range of overdriven sound / boost fuller frequencies. Will report back on how that sounds.

yes, blend will do the same 'cause you have also the clean signal running through. So as addition: separate volumes for clean and fuzz OR a clean blend will work.
i'm curious what you guys think.

Basically I do the opposite: I run a very dark sounding Fuzz/OD (Mountainking) into the TAFM and set that for high sounds. Works as well even though I must confess the 'high' on the TAFM is a bit relative.

I have to say... after yesterday rehearsals, I feel obliqued to recommend You Toms Hugger, for any OK pedal that doesn't get much use. It will turn into awesomeness.

Everybody not born yesterday knows of course what the Hugger does to boosters, overdrives and fuzz, right? I love how it fixes the vol drop of vint. fuzzes and how can add even more mass to the low end sucking fuzzes, and how my AB-Synth gets nasty gritty trebles. But it doesn't stop there.

A flat sounding delay/verb with vol drop? No prob, You'll get volume to taste and a load of overtones from there. Seemingly mundane tonestacks of old Marshall pedals can be turned into sparkling exciters. The massive but a bit unfocused and not too loud sub harmonizer of the old DOD Meat Box gives now rad low end dirt on steroids that kicks in the teeth of Grizzly the fukken bear! Got to try on other harmonizers and octavers next.
