Haha now I'm on the spot! *starts searching for Merle Haggard guitar tabs*

We saw him last year at a casino here, was a great show.. he has an underage son that tours with the band that wasn't allowed to play in the casino so he played from the tour bus with a video camera on him. Those country guys sure smoke on the guitar, I wish I had their chops.. Merle still has chops too even in his 70s.. played an awesome looking Telecaster.

Ryan, have you got time to learn a Merle Haggar song (for a low gain demo [The Cleanness mode]). Probably too busy with The Elements and the Tremolessence building process. :p (hi! hi!).
I need this type of sound (+ the high gain side too): http://www.drscientist.ca/_mp3s/clean01.mp3 Hope I will be able to reproduce that with the low gain side of the Elements.

Syl, you can get that tone all day and night with the Elements, no problemo! Cut the bass, boost the highs, bit of gain... you can do that with the high and low gain sides for sure... you're gonna nail every tone you ever dreamed of! *smile*

Ryan, is this the original G&L pickup... it sound good... not too thin.
There is a blonde ASAT Classic Rustic with maple neck and fretboard at a store here in Quebec... Maybe I should go there to try it.

You betcha, totally stock guitar. It's actually a Classic Bluesboy and on the website the pickups are listed as: Seymour Duncan Seth Lover humbucker in neck position, traditional size G&L Magnetic Field Design single coil in bridge position.

It's my favourite guitar, got it 2009, love how it sounds and plays. I've also got a regular ASAT with p90 style pickups and it's an awesome guitar too. I think G&L stands for Great & Loverly.

I will try it next weekend... it's been there for a while (more than a year)... I would prefer rosewood fretboard but we never know.

It's funny, all my guitars have rosewood fretboards and I'd always say that's my favourite fretboard, but the G&L ASAT Classic that's my favourite guitar is a maple fretboard. And I love it!

Keep in mind I'm not much of a guitar player.. the fretboard could be made out of cardboard and it probably wouldn't affect my palm mutes and power chords very much.
