I'd be all for that. Maybe.

I'd play the shit out of the Dwarfcraft demo board :P

Guess I'm out. I live in Kansas. No way I can make a trip to Milwaukee.

OH FUCK.
Just remembered my doom/drone/phat beats project ROT BOX with Jeff Mitchell (Milwaukee resident) and Matt from TRR. So yeah, i might try to steal another slot at the Fest.

I'm emailing the Borg Ward now. Starcastic, can you put in a good word for us through your bandmate?

Edit: email sent, let's hope they are receptive of this idea.

Well, we could always just hold it in a park in Milwaukee. Or at the Cactus Club, if the Borg Ward doesn't work out. I'm really hoping for the Borg Ward, though. It's right up the Borg Ward's alley. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Borg-War ... ?sk=photos

I put in a good word for you. But there still needs to be a way to get more than just the bands out for the day

Yes, totally agree. I mentioned that we were looking for some more Milwaukee bands to draw in local folks. Any ideas?

Also I think the gallery part will help, but I have no idea how we promote a loud show to art patrons.

Milwaukee bands-- starcastic's band Ifihadahifi
Northless-- our other guitar players band would draw very well.
Brief candles
But we would have to figure out how to fit as many ilf bands in between. It sounds like a logistical nightmare. But if it works it could be epic

PM'd Brian from smallsound/bigsound. IFIHADAHIFI will play, hopefully *fingers crossed*

Northless would be great. The only other Milwaukee band I know personally are The Plane to Lisbon, and they're quiet folk rock.

Dinosaur Feathers, wanna make the trip from NYC?

Update:

The venue is keen on it. I'll cover the space rental for the evening if you guys agree to play :thumb:

The three weekends open in September are the first, third, and last weekend. (Weekends of Sept 2nd, 16th, and 30th.) Let me know which of these weekends you guys can definitely commit to playing, and I'll make it happen. Borg Ward is also open to doing a two or three night "festival" because we have so many bands. It could be either a Friday or Saturday night or both. We have to nail this down soon though so we can get the gallery space for the pedal builders to set up. :thumb:

I'll keep trying to track down Milwaukee bands, any help from Starcastic and Ross would be amazing and lovely :thumb:

I'm not sure if there's going to be much money, but I recommend we take some donations for charity, for the bands, and set up merch areas. Definitely want to figure out a way so that we at least cover the cost of your bands driving to Milwaukee. Thoughts?

I think one day is a better option. That way everyone can meet on one day rather than having it split into two and people trying to find places to stay and maybe not everyone being able to make both days..

The Otto Modest can do whenever, as long as we know when. We have friends in Madison, so we've got a close enough place to crash or WHATEVER! :idk:
