Spaceman Effects?
Has anyone here played one of the Spaceman Effects fuzzes? I just wanted to know what you thought of them. Thanks.

Re: Spaceman Effects?
Never heard of them before. Was going to ask for a link, but I decided not to be lazy and I google it myself.

I got irritated when the first video I clicked on was not in fact a demo of the pedal, but a countdown for the Gemini III rocket launch of 1965. If anyone who doesn't have ADD wants to check this out, please let me know if I'm missing out on something awesome.

Re: Spaceman Effects?
I currently own three of his pedals only missing the new Gemini.
Zak does great stuff. Although he developed nothing revolutionary so far (but who does?), all of his creations are somehow unique, fresh and meticulously built.
He is also one of the nicest builders around.

That Gemini is expensive! They look cool, I'd consider buying one used.

Re: Spaceman Effects?
yeah, i had there 1st fuzz.
The Rumblefuzz.
it was kind of cool sounding, but in the end it was a big muff with no life.
I sold it.
I have wanted to try out that Mercury III, I think it would be cool to add harmonics before some weaker fuzzes.

I've played the Rumblefuzz, it was alright in a fuzzface sort of way.
It didn't rumble though which was very disappointing.

I know that Pete Holmstrom from the Dandy Warhols is using some of their fuzz and the boost. He wrote on FB that he loves them, but I never had the chance to try or hear one...

Makes DBA prices look like a bargain. Then again, build quality on DBA cannot always be described as amazing...so I guess there's that. I couldn't drop that kind of cash on a fuzz though unless I was getting a dual pedal or something custom and crazy. Used would be the way to go with these I think.

Re: Spaceman Effects?
I wanted the Spaceman Germanium Boost but I couldn't justify the price so I ended up buying a Wren and Cuff Phuk which is in the mail to me right now. It is a Germanium/Fet hybrid boost but I am hoping it might get some of the same mojo of the Spaceman.
