String quest

Post by Gopherbassist »

So, as I mentioned in another thread, my local music shop went out of business, so I've had to default all my gear needs to a shop that's about two hours away. Now, it looks like they've stopped carrying DR strings, my brand of choice for the last two years. I'm not too fond of D'Addarios, and I hate Ernie Balls, but now I'm at an impasse, because everywhere I look online, DRs are really expensive, when they were some of the cheapest strings when I bought them in the store. Does anyone know of a place that sells DRs, or any stings, at low prices? Online would be best for me.

This is the shop I goto mostly. If you have an order over $59 you get free shipping. So three sets of strings should get you there. I don't know how the prices compare but their guitar strings are cheaper than the shop in my hometown.

I've used both of these companies.

http://www.juststrings.com/guitar.html

great service and fast shipping.

Lowest prices I've found for Thomastik-Infeld bass strings.
and they sent me free picks and guitar polish. I like free stuff.
