I had a weird-ass dream where I "started" in an abandoned storage unit building in California. I was looking for a revolver (wut) and found one in a hollowed-out space at the back of one of the units. Then when I left the complex I was was on an "overworld" map full of forests and waterfalls and shit. Each spot on the overworld was from a different game, and I eventually went to Ocarina of Time land where the enemies were changed. By that I mean a Godzilla-sized pig burst from the side of Death Mountain and tried to murder me. He buried himself in boulders trying to climb up after me.

At the top of Death Mountain I arrived in 1945 Berlin, next to a bus full of kids and teachers hiding from gunfire. One of the kids asked me what was going to happen to their "halfbread" and I told them it didn't exist in my time because the last stored ingredients for it were destroyed by the Soviets. They started crying and the bus was ripped open by an an armor-piercing round.

Then it flashed to me riding a moped through generic African jungle where a civil war was raging. I passed some kid who asked me to go look for his dad and I was all "sorry man, I can't" because I was high-tailing it out of there. I felt like shit. Eventually I came to a waterfall, decided I may as well go for it, and wound up on the shore, face to face with these ugly humanoid things that kept trying to punch the shit out of me. They would wind up their punches like in cartoons, so I just kept backpedaling, took out the revolver that I mysteriously knew how to use and blew them away. They flew hundreds of feet away when I shot them, which was hilarious.
About 20 feet away I introduced myself to this old man and he started transforming into the Violator. You know, that thing from Spawn.

Then I woke up. WUT.

I would say you had a bad case of collywobbles, but I don't think that could account for the sheer WTF-ness of your dream :wha?:

Go through the entire interview pronouncing "ice cream" with the emphasis on "cream" a la Bob Odenkirk.

Took the ladyfriend to see Arcade Fire and The National tonight - really good show. Totally makes up for having to miss both of them at Lollapalooza last year thanks to stupid scheduling.

Did you see The National when they played Milwaukee, or somewhere else? (Chicago?) I didn't memorize the tour dates, so apologies for not knowing what last night would've been.

Just had a good jam with the drummer I might be starting a band with. He's really into doing something noisey-shoegazey like. I almost forgot how to play noisey music. Now I actually get to rock out and hopefully have some sweet grooves to go with it. We might be jamming with another guitarist Sattydae. The next step would be to steal some synth/pedal manipulator from from the Borg Ward and revolutionize the way people use their ears.

Also, I just saw the Aqua Teen episode where Shake is bitten by a radioactive black man. Any time I get to see a bunch of Boxy Brown is a good time.

Indy. It was the last date with The National opening. During Arcade Fire's set, Win said something like, "I don't know if you go to a lot of rock shows, but opening bands aren't supposed to be that good." Truth. Tickets were something like $55 with fees, which blows...but it was worth it.

Show was originally supposed to be outside at White River State Park, a medium-sized amphitheatre, but got moved indoors because of all the rain we've had here recently. Turned out to be a good move, it poured down rain all night, and the new venue (Pepsi Coliseum, built in the 30's and located on the Indiana State Fairgrounds) was pretty cool. We were on the floor, maybe 30 feet from the stage. Arcade Fire's visuals were really well-done too.

On a related note, I spent all day moving amps, cabs, PA and other stuff out of my basement because of flooding. :(

But I also got an e-mail from Brian at smallsound/bigsound that my TAFM with custom art is ready. :omg:
