Any thoughts on the Fuzzrocious pedals?

Post by dorfmeister »

These are really popular on Talk Bass. Anyone using any of these pedals on guitar?

I am especially interested in the "Dark Driving" and "Free Candy" pedals.

Any thoughts?

Stuff seems expensive for what it is...you can get a real blueberry (well the MP CB version) for about the same.

You could also get somebody to do a totally tricked out meathead for that price.
Florian@jupiter effects made me a custom meathead dlx for even less, with a an awesome tone control instead of filter, tone bypass toggle, and 3-way voicing toggle (standard/dark/bass).
He even designed a handful of custom finishes just for my pedal and let me pick my favorite.

Not trying to rip on the dude, I haven't tried any myself. The grey stache looks really cool though, I wouldn't mind trying one of those.
There are some that call me...morningstaru?

Yeah.....they do seem kind of expensive for basically being clones with a funky paint job......I'd like to try the Dark Driving.....just wish it were about $25 cheaper.

How clean is the soldering and wiring on his stuff?

The Jupiter effects stuff looks sweet. He definitely has a unique and professional aesthetic for his boxes. What pedals does he build? Tried to google up a web-site and was thwarted.
