Should I get an Eventide Timefactor?

Post by Wes Mantooth »

Basically I found someone who wants to buy my Fireball but would need to put in an Eventide Timefactor as a partial trade.

Anyone here have any experience with them? From the few demos I watched, it seemed a bit much to me :erm:

So anyone out there have any great experiences out there with a Timefactor? Anyone have any bad experiences?

This will barely count as a contribution. I had once - wasn't into it. Lots of bells and whistles, but I didn't care for the basic sound of the delays, period.

Will you be losing out if you don't jive with it and need to sell? Timefactor will probably be easier to move than a Fireball. :idk:

That's a good point, I probably could at least try it out and if it doesnt work for me just sell it.

I heard the V3 firmware update gave it a better tape echo sound, it'd be fun to play around on and review at the very least

I always put the trade value of something I don't really want/need at an amount that I know I could sell it for fairly quickly. TimeFactor :idk: $250?

Then to even out the karma that comes with lowballish tactics, just make sure you actually sell it for that amount if you don't like it.

Bst is filled with low ball offers. Everything changes when ur a builder though. Eventide is some classy shit. They keep their value on ebay so u could just do that.

Yeah I'm thinking of knocking $275 off the price of the amp since that seems to be a lower, but not the lowest value these things seem to go for, that way I can move it easily if I don't like it :idk:

you could at least try it AND review it ;)

i say go for it - even if just for the experience. The resale posibility is also a good point

Oh rest assured any pedal I get my hands one will be reviewed/recorded :thumb:

Well I've seen a lot of demos, all clean tones though.

Looks like there needs to be some demos of this thing with a hefty dose of fuzz :yay:
