Line 6 Modelers

I have tried a DL4 and an FM4 the DM4 seemes questionable so I havent tried it and I own the MM4. All the ones I've played are FANTASTIC. The DL4 is probably the most used and well respected and for good reason too, it's just soo conventient and easy to use and it's soo much fun (arent they all). The FM4 is perhaps not worth the money for me because I'd only use it for pure wankery but it still models some really cool vintage synth pedals. And the MM4 is a dream. It's got Phasers, Flangers, Leslies, tremelos, Panners, Chorus, Vibrato AND Ring Mod keep in mind not all of the are good but the ones that are make up for the ones that arent.. So yeah, those are my thoughts on them (i get scorned quite often for them) just wondering about other people's experiences with these pedals.

i don't care for them but i don't turn my nose at them what so ever. i have the filter modeler but never use it....for me. it's too clinical sounding. i keep thinking i'll use it eventually. i even had it on my looping pedal board at one time....but never used it so off it went to the sonic archives.

Personally, I'm fine with the concept, but in practice I find the big metal cases obnoxious to deal with on a board. I actually traded my MM4 with Leastwise because I just couldn't make the commitment to add that much weight to my board. That said, I am due to pick up one of the big XT floor units this week, so clearly I don't have that much of a problem with them...

The m13 always seemed impressive to me because I've been tempted to pick up a dl4/fm4/verbzilla on a number of occasions, and for less than that price you get all of them rolled into one with a few extra bells and whistles tossed in.

I don't think I'd ever replace my dirt with the dm4 models...played with a dude who used on once and his tone was so shrill I wanted to smash his dm4 into bits.

But a lot of line6 stuff is user error...when I owned a pod I spent most of my time tweaking knobs.

With the beefed up dl4 inside, 2 expression jacks, ability to rearrange the chain, and all the other boxes tossed in, the m13 seems like a sweet deal to me.:

I really like my DL4 and MM4. I have an FM4 on the way and will hopefully enjoy that, too.

I'm actually not a huge fan of filters and modulation, but it's nice to have a whole bunch of things in one package. Just as a resource for when a li'l something is needed.

I have an FM4 and there's definitely a learning curve to it. I fiddled with knobs for hours before I knew what to do with it. Incredible pedal.
