i like the whole tone of this song, but at 2:30 it really kicks on the solo

I think the solo probably but the chorus just sounds like channel two, or whatever the hot channel is on his amp.

AWESOME! I'm glad i turned someone on to this amazing band... they have a new cd coming out sometime this year and im hoping it's as good as their first.
So you think the second song is a muff too? Anything else im missing?

My suggestion is to start with your guitar & amp (since it is gonna sound different than his) and figure out what pedal gets you there. Borrow RAT, Big Muff, and box of rock if you can and try each one. A/B.
