Hey'al.... just splurged on a Boss Loop Station RC-2 that I bought for mega cheap, wondering if anyone has any advice or sneaky tips to getting the most out of this mischevious little basard? I haven't even tested it out yet so I'm unsure of the ease of use or creating loops that synch well with the interface on the pedal....... I mean I know it works because it came from a reputable shop with a warranty, but I haven't been to my rehearsal space and just read the instruction manual.....
Does it automatically go into the amps input or would it be better served in the effects loop to get the added "kick" from the preamp if I then took the loops an put them into my computer? Any opinions or advice is welcomed....... basically I want to utilize it in the same way Mark McGuire does on his solo records away from Emeralds...... you know what I mean.........

it is very good and super easy to use: play in time (=tight) your loop and hit the pedal the first time on the 1 and the secand time exactly when you play the 1 again. the pedal starts immediatly with the playback of the loop (and if the volume is up with the beat - which is quite cool). i play at home with it always in the pedal chain. i would put it in front of the amp as the last pedal in the chain (except, if you want to alternate the loops, put some effects behind it). i record my loops with all effects.
for the band reharsal we got problems with hearing the loop and the overdub guitar coming from the same amp. so i used an a/b pedal and two amps.
