Outdated + Overpriced!

Hey their guys and gals thought I'd post a topic about effects pedals that are outdated but yet still retain or acquire a hefty price tag.

My example being the PDS-8000 its pretty old and their are pedals that can approximate what it does that are cheaper, yet I've regularly
seen these for around 300/350.

Anybody got any other examples?

Well over here in THe Netherlands, I see a lot of ads on our local craigslist-a-like with prices sometimes higher than the new-price, when I mail about that they say I lie or even don't react..
I mean if it was real vintage or something

Yea PDS-8000 is crazy priced. If I could afford it, I'd get one though. The delay on the PDS series is really great. I had a PDS-2000 and really regretted selling it.

I'd say something like the DOD Buzzbox or anything Zvex.

I think its hilarious how the two second digital delay goes for around 60 to 100 dollars and the 8000
triple that!

Yeah anything by zvex falls under this category imo. Also a lot of vintage gear like for example grey DOD 250s which goes for $400+, they are nothing special and I can clone one in an hour with $30.

the quality of the 330s are no different from a mij or cij fender
some are even worse the 80s ones ive owned were not spectacular

yet fetch double and a tad more of a mij price fender

Silverface Fender amps. Again, not "outdated," but around here, at least, people ask way too much for them. $500 for a silverface Champ? BS.

I dunno man, I got a PDS-1002 on here on the cheap, and if I were to ever sell it I'd probably flip it for around the same price because fuck inflating prices.

Awesome gear should be affordable at awesome prices. Outdated nothing, it sounds great.

I was definitely thinking of the Wooly Mammoth. There are so many better bass-friendly fuzzes around nowadays for a fraction of the cost. Some of his other stuff is really innovative, and he's come out with lower-cost versions of a lot of his pedals, which is cool. But, I mean, his own Mastotron ($150 new) kicks the crap out of the Wooly Mammoth ($360 new)...crazy.
