short story... two black guys walk into my shop and buy autotune for $300 + Ilok for $40. they were jumping up and down like they won the lottery. one guy says to the other one "yo son we made it, we gonna be famous. MTV here we come. ITS ON NOW" I almost pissed my pants. this really happened.
this is hilarious and disgusting at the same time.
I shit you not there was a rapper friend of mine who just got back from a japan tour and he was there when it happened. even he was laughing at these idiots.

Dalek is awesome. I was at a party with them in Philly around '01. I was smoking a blunt with Oktapus and then-DJ Still. Oktapus was bugging out because they had just signed or were about to sign with Ipecac. "Dude, I just got off the phone with Mike Patton. That's Mike Patton's number ON MY PHONE." He was all huggy and shit. They're killer.

But I'm white, so my opinion is invalid.
digable planets mobb deep slick rick etc.
i truly believe people who can't find better rap than odd future aren't looking. they also often tend to be the same people who say hip hop instead of rap ...

I have nothing against rap per se, but nothing has ever approached the pure heaviness and funk of The Low-End Theory. That album has always been the standard-bearer
I realize this isn't exactly rap (well, the band *does* include a rapper, but the music is more darkwave/industrial) but anybody here like Saints of Eden?
