You get a new pedal (or other piece of gear) that you're really excited about and then you take it to band practice and it sounds amazing with your band. It makes me so happy. I find that all too often some pedals sound awesome in your room and then you take them to band practice and it just doesn't work out.
Last night I used my El Capistan with my drummer for the second time and it was so It had us gazing pretty hard..
It just makes me so happy when that happens! That's pretty much how I know I'm gonna keep a pedal for sure. What are your pedals that you love to use most with your band? Experiences, etc?
I had the exact opposite happen to me once i bought a really cool fretless five string bass with a super distinct sound that i thought was really cool but when i went to jam with my guitarist friend it just didnt work
My Barbershop fits into our bands sound like magic. Grinding, gritty goodness that adds something wonderful to our sound. That boosting my Russian Muff into a chorus is sexy to the max.
