Flange is definitely not something I like, nor is chorus, hate high-gain distortion directed towards metal. Flange sounds good when it's in a feedback loop...and even then...meh. Chorus is good on top of delay...but other than that, I don't really like it. TOO MUCH 80s CHEESE. Compressors are something else that I don't really like, although I understand they serve a purpose, I think they are overdone and hate it.

I will not argue or defend this seeing as this is an opinion...and just like assholes...

the only effects i REALLY hate are phase, and delay just because its more or less a "sound cool" button. then maybe distortion when people always play DA BLOOZ on demos. fucking hate that. YOU DON'T PLAY FUCKING BLUES FOR A CHORUS DEMO

tbh, the instrument sounds I hate the most is probably straight up slap tone on bass.

For a forum that's about effects love, we sure hate a lot of effects :erm:

The only thing I hate is when somebody uses cool effects and plays crappy music.
