What fuzz/od/distro pedal is this?

Hey,

So I really like the guitar tone on this video from about 3.00-3.15 to the end when he kicks on his pedal and I was wondering what y'all think is creating in?

I know there's a EHX POG in there creating the bass+higher octave effect so that's part of it. Prob also w/the detune effect on.

But that leaves the fuzz/overdrive/distortion.

I can't figure out what pedal might be being used there. What do you think?

The sound is already pretty dirty and the pedal kicks it on. I was thinking maybe a Fender Blender w/the tone then kicked on as a tone+boost but I'm not sure if that is too aggressive as a pedal.

its from the pog itself. with the input and lp filter sliders up it will distort just like in that video

Stolen from another thread when I googled your question...

"I think someone was asking about Jamie's pedalboard a little while back. Here is a shot I took of it last week.
You'll notice those two black switch boxes to the left of the picture are remotes for his POGs. The jacks coming out of them plug on to the faces of the POGs, where the footswitch would normally be. Means he can have a more compact board, but still have all his switches in the front row.
I'm not sure what that rusty black two switch box is in the top right hand section of the picture. May just be an A/B box to switch his signal between his amps and his TU-2 tuner. "

Hehe I like the tone, it's dirty and woozy but I don't feel it goes too far.

I've been looking at lots of youtube fuzz pedal demos and all the time people just do classic rock riffs which aren't good to judge in this circumstance.

I felt that the POG was doing the bass tone and also the detune effect (Pog1 b/c it lets you detune the highs, Pog2 is universal so would nail the bass notes too).

But that during the solo he was hitting a fuzz pedal to kick it on, certainly there's a volume increase but also a dirt increase, no?

And yeah I googled his pedalboard and perhaps he's just hitting the second Pog but afaik it doesn't have a distortion/fuzz setting but the signal seems to get dirtier. Perhaps he's bringing in a second amp? But either way that's why I thought a Fender Blender might be at play due to the Tone Boost switch.

Perhaps a ZVex Vexter Super Hard On might do the job then?

just a warning, the vexter pedals sometimes fall short of the sound from the handpainted pedals. not joking at all. the vexters are mass produced guitar center junk. the box of rock I tried was a piece of shit compared to the real one.

i heard rumors about some shitty Vexter pedals... Vexter or handpainted they are overpriced anyway

my friend had a POG and was actually complaining it's not easy getting really clean tone from it with the tone he wanted. So it MIGHT be those POGs

the kills are coo
he has some nice amps
he played vox for ages assuming most of the drive would come from his amps using dynamics jumping from using his fingers to a pick
he has a few d13 amps now

just pog and a vox will do the job and the jittering delay
