I plan to enter the IB program (essentially super AP) and she has been less then helpful.
1. she never thought to warn me that I was behind on my foreign languages. I eventually got this info through friends
2. never thought to tell me about summer class options. I got this info through friends also
3. refused to respond to all of our phone calls about setting up a meeting. someone (I think intern) answered her phone and set it up
4. said the sign up for summer classes would announced (she lied). side stepped her and talked directly to teachers till I got the word that enrollment was open
5. she refused answer her phone again. some one else answered her phone again and finally got her to give me the application
the only remaining challenge is to get her to sign the application (my greatest challenge yet)
this ordeal has been going on for the past 3 months

Re: The what ever thread...
i have had my fair share of guidance counselor woes. what you need to do is become friends with your principal. that way you can always go above the counselor and talk straight to their boss. the principal can sign almost everything for you, and in the rare occasion they can't, a little email will get the principal all on guidance's ass, which they hate.
honestly if there is one thing i learned in school, it's if someone's not doing their job, talk to their boss

My school offered IB. My class was the first to have it, so they tried to cram as many of us into it as possible just to prove it was a good idea. I didn't go for it, just took some AP's and dicked around in a bunch of easy-A classes for most of my senior year. Glad I did it too. Spent most of my time running around the drama department storage in the basement and going to/from McDonalds(especially after watching Super Size Me in health class).

What, you don't think he was hittin'(figuratively) Ophelia? I'm pretty sure it was really a little Brain Salad Surgery that really messed up her ticker. Hamlet may have been a pussy, even a douche, but I'm pretty sure they all wore tights back then.
And Horatio is the Rodney Dangerfield of the Shakespearean world. He don't get no respect.

That is hilarious. I thought it was funny when you said(or wrote rather) it too.
It really is a good play though, certainly worthy of all the praise it gets. Ch-ch-ch-check it out.

Re: The what ever thread...
the Hamlet quote cracks me up.
i saw a funny on another forum today...apparently there's a line of miniature replicas of Gretsch guitars sold in Japan analogous to the 1/8 scale Strats and such one sees online and in the big shops. someone answered the question "has anyone owned one of these?" by saying "i had one for awhile, but i couldn't bond with it due to the 0.75" fingerboard radius."
