Faustone - Fuzz Unit - #13

Post by Kayzer »

Faustone - Fuzz Unit Number 13 has landed. Its a replica of the B&M - Champion Fuzz from the late 70s built to the highest standard possible (check out the epic gutshots in the video intro)

Unique for this fuzz Pedal are the clean blend and heavy low end which work perfect for every guitar tuning from E to low G or even bass players...

Enjoy:

very cool. maybe a tad fizzier than i like--i'd like to hear it in the middle of the tone range--but the fat low end is wonderful.

Aaahh. Id imagine they'd be pretty simialr, given as they are both spot-on clones. I have the Sonic VI one and it sounds magic on bass, great on guitar for those 70's rock fantasies too :)

the pedal is coolio and sounds awesome with the wide tone range... BUT---- why THE HELL IN SUCH A BIG ENCLOSURE
in the beginning of the video you see in the gutshots that there is sooooooo much free unused space in there.. sure.. it's a pro if you want to mod the shit out of it but there is so much freakin' room you could fit two other pedals in there!!!

Nice sound but seriously. Why the fuck are the input and output like that? Very awkward place.

Bumping this three years late, but are there any clones of this thing? Particularly in a small box?

^ Sonic VI made some Champion Fuzz clones in smaller enclosures a long time back, and I think the Stomp Under Foot Dirty Rooster is based on a Jumbo Tonebender (same circuit), but the Faustone is the absolute shit. Doesn't matter that it's not pedalboard friendly when it IS your pedalboard…
