The IOD (v1) is one of two pedals I ever bought twice. It just works so nice in my setup. Fangoriously beefy. On the verge of overloaded overdrive tones for DAYZ.

Anybody cloned this? Just curious. Nobody seems to touch the DBA designs, and I wonder if they're variants on anything.

Rat could be just what You want. I used to have a Rat, years ago, a big box version from early 90's - I think - saying Kalamazoo, and it was a pretty hairy and contagious with 8-string bass and the guitars. Sold it since I didn't like the filter with four string bass that much, really. Too much mud. And with filter rolled off for trebles it gave too weak low end for my needs. Now I'd really want to try out a 4k Rat.
ILF pedals that come to my mind are the Fuzzhugger Groundswell - a real nice overdrive pedal that ought to be made a re-run
- and the new ArcFlash with tone filter.
That should be filled with awesomeness. And the Mellowtone was mentioned already earlier, right?
And yes, people have cloned - for example - the Fuzz War. Probably because of the classical equation sounds rad + has the wrong price tag = clones appear.

I tried an interstellar overdriver & didnt like it. sounds like a basic transistor OD. those can be cool but the IO wasnt ear pleasing. the hi five, singing tree, and more sound better for less.

Think the Fuzz War has been cloned for sure, that pedal is actually really cool. With their prices, I can't believe the whole line isn't cloned yet, there's absolutely nothing to 'em if you take a look inside. Build is a little on the sloppy side too...they make good on the lifetime guarantee though.

I had the Supreme as well and thought it to be a pretty good pedal. I sold it eventually but not because I thought it was bad.
You should be able to get the standard version used on e-bay for around $100.

My Supreme had to be repaired at DBA twice, maybe I just had a bad egg? The demos always sounded good, mine just never measured up.

I had one, sold it, regretted that, traded for another one, and then sold that one not that long ago. Will probably not buy again, though, just two many other good pedals out there. I have heard they can be inconsistent and that the build quality is iffy but no complaints with the two that I had.

There is a schematic at FSB that is more or less verified. Nobody wanted to put much time into the project because it sounds like ass.
There are a few other of their pedals that have been reversed as well (most recently the Robot). But yeah, their fuzz-type circuits seem to quite original. The problem being that "totally original" often also equals "really busted sounding". The transistors on most of their fuzz stuff are used in the opposite polarity of which they are intended, so you get a super-low gain out of each one. And then they just string 5 or 6 of them together to get the required gain level to make fuzz. It's an odd way of going about things, but I suppose people keep buying them, so what do I know?
So I wouldn't say that nobody will touch them. It's just that they don't sound good to most of the folks who trace pedals, so you won't see that much effort put into being 100% correct on the schematics.

I had the same version and I sold it because I thought it was thin and tinny
