Post by unownunown »

so i held off on downloading this for a while because i didn't like under cover of darkness and i didn't want to hate the strokes

i'm listening to it right now, but i'm one song in so no opinions yet. what do you guys think about it? acceptable come back? big let down? etc...

It was just kind of meh for me at first. But the more I listen to it the more I like it. Some of the guitar interplay is pretty sweet.

i definitely agree, the interplay is interesting on some tracks, machu picchu was pretty cool... angles is really textural, which was nice. tonally i'd place it somewhere around room on fire.

still kind of meh about it, but historically strokes albums have always taken me a few listens to warm up to, so i dunno. :idk:
