I know it's pathetic, but I like drawing my dream board.
This one is like the winning the lottery version of my current band board:
Image

It would go like this:

Fairfield Barbershop OD > Skinpimp Halloween Fuzz > Mountainking Ruckus OD > Black Cat Superfuzz > Team Awesome Fuzz Machine > Jupiter Hard Rain Fuzz > Flower Electronics Vacuum Fuzz > Catalinbread Pareidolia Modulation > EQD Sea Machine Chorus > Jack Deville Mod Zero Chorus / Flanger > Chk Chk Boom Feedback Looper (EHX Dr. Q Envelope Filter & Digidelay in the loop) > Strymon El Capistan Delay > Neunaber Wet Reverb > Iron Ether Cygnet Tremolo

In reality I would probably not be able to make much use of so many pedals, but I could think of uses for the one or the other additional effect and if I just add all of those up this is where I end up. I am pretty much on the fence for any of these at any given time but in the end it is unfortunate that I just can't seem to win the lottery. Maybe I should check out the horse races. The season begins on sunday.

When it boils down too it, all I'd like is an overdrive, a fuzz, a modulation pedal and a reverb pedal.
But if I have the chance this is what I'd like(bold is what I have):

Aenima w/ oscillation - >Spectacular Aenima (Arion Flanger in loop?) -> Internet -> Modulation (Pareidolia/Whetstone) -> Sea Machine -> Reverb (Hall of Fame/Cathedral/something with a tone knob)

Plus a tuner and the Tremolessence thrown in there somewhere.

Of course other stuff would be cool too (DD3, TBD, Utter Stutter, etc.), but would more be for noisey fun.

This would actually be split into two boards... one with small pedals for gigging, one with the bigger boys for home use... it's actually getting closer to completion than I thought would happen... but still a long way off in reality.

A/DA Flanger, TZF Modded MXR M-117, EHX Bad Stone, EHX Attack Decay, EHX Deluxe Memory Man, Tonebender MkII, Devi Aenima, EHX Small Clone, EHX Micro Pog x 2, Hardwire DL-8, TU-2 & RV-7, Dallas Rangemaster, Dr Scientist Miniberator & Tremolessence, DOD 230 Noise Gate, OpAmp Big Muff, EHX Frequency Analyzer, EHX Freeze, Dan Electro Cool Cat Vibe (Yes I have a Dan Electro pedal on my dream board, what of it) BOSS PS-6, Digitech Harmony Man, Digitech Whammy, MXR Micro Flanger, Modded Crybaby, EHX Polyphase, Pigtronix Philosphers Tone, EHX Memory Toy or MXR Carbon Copy, EHX Zipper (Original Non-Tube Version) Pearl OC-7, MXR Phase 45, Proco Rat.

And i'm probably forgetting some stuff there.

And they wouldn't be on my board... but one of every EHX Percussion effect for fun.

Wow I didn't think this discussion would go where it did, but that's cool. I mostly just play my acoustic too (nothing like living in an apartment!), so this is really far fetched for me. Don't worry too much I don't obsess and I know how to be content. However, I do like the sound of all of those pedals, plus my gear gets used for church quite a bit and it would be good to have the best sound I can to praise God with! But you guys are right, I need to learn to play better too.

hbombgraphics-looking forward to the pedal bro, Sockets!!!

Carbon Copy Hands down most Awesome pedal for the money, even better if I could have a foot switch to bypass the mod in stead of that button...any takers on helping me out?

I do like it, but I can't really make it work for when I 'play' music. It has a permanent spot on the drone board though. That is probably where it belongs anyway.

I'll take a pass at this.
Never really thought too much about everything I'd want all at once.
Must be the realist in me! :idk: :snax:

I'm really just now building my rig from the ground up. My bass is being built, just ordered a cab for my amp.
As of now it's looking like Birdsong 4-string > Thunderfunk amp > Avatar 410... So far that's all of my gear!

I'd really love to get a deluxe Gnomeratron VTF, ideally paired with one other fuzz
that can do subtle low gain stuff as well as crazy gated synth stuff. Preferably somewhat easy to dial in.
I guess the best bet for that would probably be Iron Ether Oxide? I'd just need to spend time with it
to learn how to quickly dial in all my favorite settings. That's a lot of the fun part right there I'd imagine!
I feel that the combination of those two fuzzes alone could leave no one wanting more.

I also would really like to get a fancy Drasp-modded DL4, maybe in a nice sparkly purple with cool LED colors.
What else... I like the Subdecay Quasar DLX very much. And I'd need a good filter or two, don't know which ones.
I like the Foxrox Octron 2 and maybe another octaver or two for various types of octave work. Fun stuff :animal:
Other than that, maybe a stereo-simulator pedal to get crazy Dr. Seuss-esque wobble! That's all I can think of atm :hello:

I didn't go. But gambling is fun if you watch yourself.

My dreamboard would at least have a Ringstinger, Meatball, a Wobulator and the ? Flanger, just for the kicks, the rest of the board I don't know yet..

Come see a little project that I've been working on lately. EffectsLounge has launched in beta and I'd love for you to join and make comments/post questions/build a board.

We'll be loading new pedals each week so be patient.

Thanks,
Phil
