I used udderly smooth.

Plus you live in Wisconsin where beer is fermented and stored in cows and.... * insert clever rant about cows, cheese, and Wisconsin *

 The image that conjured was priceless: Cows that open up with a big hatch on the side to reveal little distilleries. Then they look at you and moo, as if to say, "Hey! What do you think you're doing? I was having a perfectly fine time just standing here until you came along."

I love being from Wisconsin. It's pretty much how people imagine it except for the roughly 2% that's kind of cool. Also, the most famous people to ever come from here are Joseph McCarthy, Jeffrey Dahmer, and Liberace. To top it all off, does the place you live have this?

Yes, that is a life-sized statue of the Fonz. That doesn't mean I'd like to spend the rest of my life in the Midwest. For now, I'm just working on getting out of my parents' house. Baby steps...

what is up with statues of characters? Detroit is currently constructing a statue of Robocop, funded by a group of people who probably thought the idea was hilarious

The Bronze Fonz is a disgrace. Complete waste of money, won't draw any tourism, and meanwhile our schools are falling apart.

That said, I was remarking on how many cool things come from Wisconsin, and in particular Milwaukee, last night.

http://www.newglarusbrewing.com/ makes super tasty beers, especially Spotted Cow (the beer that everyone can enjoy, even if they don't like beer)

Numerous small breweries in Milwaukee itself, lots more awesome breweries throughout the state, but New Glarus is definitely my favorite.

http://www.benscycle.net/ - Milwaukee Bicycle Company. Awesome singlespeed/fixie track bikes, also fixed gear freestyle and bike polo bikes. About 5 blocks from my apartment. I'm a bike nerd.

http://www.koss.com/ has their offices and factory here. Which reminds me that I need to get a pair of their Pro studio monitor headphones.

Awesome food:
http://www.riverwestcoop.org/
http://www.outpost.coop/
http://www.beansandbarley.com/
http://www.thecometcafe.com/
http://www.myspace.com/palominobar - awesome punk-rock vegan cowboy bar. Seriously.
And a bunch I'm forgetting to mention.

If anyone ever comes into Milwaukee on tour or to see a show, let me know. I'll show you around :)

Eff that. Who else are we gonna make a statue of, Orson Welles? There should be a Clyde Stubblefield statue in Madison though.

But yeah, good beer and good food. That's what we got and as a result, a lot of fatties.

It's too bad Summerfest is now overcrowded and too expensive.

Wasn't sure where to put this exactly...it's a bit of a long story so bear with me..

Was sitting in my room yesterday, just kinda noodling around on the acoustic, when my mom got a call from my uncle, saying that his wife (who was already in the hospital, recovering from stomach surgery) had a light heart-attack...it looks like she's going to be ok)

As I was overhearing this conversation, not really paying attention to what I was playing, I was suddenly struck by the muse, inspiration, whatever you wanna call it..and a really cool riff/progression came out of it..

so....the first part is more 'sadness' than anger..and the second part of the story is just...:idk:

well, people say that you get inspiration from a broken heart...i thought it was supposed to be your own heart, though.

My kitten did that to two pairs of my girlfriend's headphones in less than 24 hours a couple weeks ago, she was initially pissed but it's hard to stay mad at something that cute.

Quit your job and stop spending money on food. That's what a Republican would recommend. :poke:

Still sick, even after sleeping like a log for ten solid hours. Soft pretzels are num-nums, but I'm not sure what else I can eat to make me feel better before work that I can eat in the car. I'm tempted to get a Shamrock Shake and french fries.

OK April fools sucks, and not because I got pranked but because every lame crap bomb I know will try to un-funny joke today.
If you aren't funny every other day of the year, what makes you think you will be today?

Get a clue, you don't have to turn in to an idiot today.

I've been in a funk for awhile. Just not happy. It's not depression; I've been there and sent the postcards to prove it.

The worst part is, every time my girlfriend asks me if anything is wrong, I tell her I'm fine. And here I am posting about it on a forum instead of talking to a real person
