Flower Travellin' Band - Made In Japan, which is probably their darkest album.

J.A. Seazer - Shintokumaru
Alice Cooper - Pretties For You - People tend to forget the EARLY Alice Cooper stuff like this. It's comparable to The Mothers of Invention in its absurdity, but not nearly as tight/intricate.

Dubkitty had some good stuff too... Gong, Spaceman 3, Jesus and Mary Chain, Echo and the Bunnymen... Generally anything druggy and hippy has been described as psychedelic over the years but there's a lot out there of all styles...

download embryonic for sure. a lot of the tracks have a similar feel, my favorites being watching the planets, silver trembling hands, the ego's last stand, the sparrow looks up at the machine, etc. i don't think the flaming lips other stuff sounds that much like embryonic does. embryonic might be the best lips album, imo and i honestly think that some of the tracks on embryonic are really similar to the second half of mgmt's oracular spectacular, so listen to future reflections, of birds moons and monsters, and the handshake while you're at it. future reflections is probably one of my favorite songs like, ever.

To me personally noisy droney stuff is the trippiest music. But that's probably not what you're looking for. If I am mistaken, definitely check out Imperial Distortion by Kevin Drumm and At all ends by Yellow Swans.
