Dude I love Guitar Wolf! Wild Zero is one of my favorite movies as well.
"Fujiyama Attack" might be my favorite track right next to the Golden Black version of "Can-Nana Fever". "I Love You OK" is also hilarious.

Though...to be honest...post-Billy they have been pretty mediocre. :(

Also, if you like Guitar Wolf then I recommend Teengenerate. In the same garage punky style as Guitar Wolf but with slightly more musicality and still incomprehensible Engrish!
They have some cool covers too, like "Burn My Eye" by Radio Birdman. Also I'm pretty sure they were into Sovtek amps.

I tried to convince a CL drummer, who wanted to start a 'punk' band, to do a duo with a pile of amps and a big Guitar Wolf influence, some Pussy Galore, and some of the skuzzier punk rock he was into like Dwarves + GG. Jammed just once, was too noisy + weird for him. Dang Rancid-Green Day fans. :grumpy:

I've got Guitar Wolf playing on the media player + youtube at the same time right now. Sounds pretty awesome to me! ROARING BLOOD!

i fucking HATE when people pull that shit in craigslist ads where they think green day is punk rock. my friend went and auditioned for a "punk band" that he found an ad for and it turned out to be three 40 year old dudes playing green day covers. my friend is 22. needless to say, it didn't work out for various reasons.

Haha, just the opposite; I'm the 44 yr old dude, and my kinda-friend, who was more the drummers age, bailed on bass playing cuz he had finally got a job. So I was jammin' with a 23 yr old, who prob was playing a kind of 'punk' he didn't like, and he was playin' it with someone old enough to be his Dad. When I was 23 I would have felt the same way. Had a friend in his 40's who played blues, and he was always trying to get me to play bass. I declined.

Three 40 year old dudes playing Green Day covers is just fucking sad tho. I'd quit that band too.

RU a Drummer? Do you have a multitrack recorder?

I've got a couple EP's I'm working on for electrogrind right now, but I'd have time over summer to record songs w/o drums, and you could lay the drums down, and send it back for an ugly distortro mix... I'd do tapes + CD-r's and if it's good, I could do singles or split 7"s too... :poke:

I can't play drums, per se, but I'm sure I could flail away uselessly at them. So basically avant-garde drumming that's far to deep for the masses to possibly appreciate?

put it this way, i wanted to start a punk band a few months ago before i realized i was moving. i'm 21. i was talking to a bassist and his drummer friend who had absolutely no idea who Bad Religion is, despite them dead set on starting a punk band. :picard:

I'd do guitar + yelling, so there would be room for bass. But never the right drummer...

Bad Religon is kinda 90's that didn't make it to a household-punk-name, I guess? What did they think was punk then?

More importantly, are you the high energy drummer this correspondence trio is looking for??? :poke:

nah i play guitar. i wanted to play drums a while back, but i realized that my hands apparently go all out of time whenever i did anything with my feet. basically, i'm a lost cause when it comes to non stringed instruments. and as for what they thought was punk, the drummer wore highlighter colored pants and kept mentioning arctic monkeys? the bassist was all about blink 182. it seems like EVERYONE in south florida is "influenced" by blink 182.
