Well, guess whose mom decided to take a day off from work today? Now, I'm effed. Can't play loud until Friday or hardly at all. Hopefully I'll have new pedal by then!

This is the one thing that sucks about my schedule(work all night, sleep all day, weird in-between times), I can never fucking play! I need to buy one of those 1/4" to 1/8" things so I can play through my computer anytime.

And if you miss having a tube preamp, get this for $30: Image

The ART preamp what I have to play through ever since I got busted for noise

I used to do this until I got the iRig for my iPod.

That exact same Berhinger mixer. It's a piece of shit

Yeah I was just looking for a small picture of a mixer. YMMV, get a mixer that sounds good. The only piece of gear above that I own is the ART mic preamp.

I just used a passive DI,...but admittedly,...should probably have gotten that ART preamp since it has a Balanced (or at least an XLR) out and runs about the same price as the shitty DI I bought,....on a whim.

The one nice thing about the iRig/iPod,...I can put it in my back pocket and walk around the house playing my bass in silence.

To jive with the thread topic.

I fucking hate ebay sellers fees. Over the weekend fucking dicks took out $22 that I wasn't expecting on some Fluevogs that my wife sold. This withdrawl overdrafted our checking account. I was at the bank at opening today to try to deposit some cash before the overdraft occurred,...but it occurred anyway. I'm on a fix'd income at the moment and having to pay OD fees SUX.

I think those fees are a ripoff and I definitely won't being doing any business with evilbay when I start building and selling my own pedals.

I avoid ebay and paypal like the plague. They're businesses that add value and security to transactions between two people; they have to earn money from someone.

No doubt,..but if you are running a business why add to your overhead like that?

Seems like if you can set your policies and have good customer service,...you can keep from getting hosed by third parties like fleavilbay. Fuzzhugger and Tonefactor seem to do fine with distribution,...but that's based solely on outward appearances,....and I'm nowhere near to having either site carry my stuff. I've still got a lot to learn. :)

My amp dirt is not satisfactory anymore... i don't know what happened

yes, i play a 1x12" combo, eat me :D

however... changing the amp is not really an option... i'd love to still have the other part-time job that i lost (not really, long story... it's not my fault tho), because i could get some wonderful fuzzy distortion to replace my amp dirt in a pursuit of TONE OF HAPPINESS

edit: yeah, different amp (a head+2x12" box) could be a great solution, but it'd have to have as good clean channel as the George Dennis... and there's the financial problem - i want to save up for a new guitar

someone give me a gear and tone oriented pep-talk, yeah? :whateva:

try different tubes. different 12AX7/7025s in the preamp spots make a world of difference. from the Czech Republic you should be able to find European-made NOS tubes for less than the equivalent tubes would cost in the US. i really like Amperex/Philips, which are less expensive than the Mullards and Telefunkens many idolize.

i hate when people set their lives to revolve around their significant other. like, do they have no hobbies or aspirations of their own? i probably wouldn't care so much if facebook didn't exist though.

i'm starting to get scared that i'm going to fuck up really bad somehow and i won't be able to go to college and i'm going to have to live with my mom forever.

and ever. not that i don't like living with my mom, it's pretty dece, but that's not really the point.

i'm being mostly irrational. and at least i can recognize that, i guess.
