This has inspired me to build a shortscale longhorn bass when I have the money and time. I wouldn't buy a Danelectro reissue, because I don't want to support Dano anymore. And I could probably build something of better quality :lol:

:thumb: Yeah I hear you. Actually the ones they did in the late 90's were great [I haz a bari U2] but the new ones suck ass... There is always Jerry Jones... but the price for what it is.. and I have played one and didn't think it was all that better then a real one or one of the new ones..

I'm thinking a longhorn built like a chambered Les Paul. But thinner, maybe, to keep it light. Can you dig it?

Yep I can. All dano's are hollow though so you would be adding mass not taking away.... I did a pict a long ass time of how those things [danos] are built, if you want I'll dig it up :idk:

I've seen some from Subway's website, I think.

Thinking more durable and thicker tone from being built better and having a solid body that is all chambered with a carved cap. Someday..
