Eye of God clone, not working properly?

Post by Inertia »

My Eye of God clone arrived; and I think it has been wired up wrong.
The light controls the volume of my guitar instead of the feedback being sent into the loop.
Along with that, it seems to send feedback in even at 0.

Just checking to make sure I am right in thinking it's wired up wrong.

I'm happy to have a feedback loop, but this just seems to not be working right.

I mostly didn't use the eye feature but I don't remember it having that effect. What are you running in the loop?
I wonder if the eye is a different resistance than the control pot and might behave differently. :idk:
Maybe jwar has some insight.

Maybe you're plugged into the wrong jack?

Even when nothing is in the loop it turns the volume up/down.
I think the eye might have been wired to the wrong place.
I've used...
Holy Stain, Riddle Qballs, Ring Thing, Whammy 4, DD6, mxr dist III.

The wiring situation I have now is the only one where the guitar comes through while the switch is off, so I'm pretty sure it's right.
The knobs themselves don't seem to be doing the right sort of things.
When the feedback knob it set to send nothing in, it usually won't, unless the volume knob is close to maxed where it sends the feedback in all the way.
