Wow sweet! multi channel. Is it stereo or something or are the channels actually wired like separate amps? I'm just guessing from the tube layout. Wait can't be stereo, only one out jack.

I saw this picture of Hendrix, all he used was a wah.... And not even the Jim Dunlop Jimi Hedrix wah, just some old thing.....
Jimi didn't realise the horrible tone suck we had to listen to every time he used that wah.

First, a little story.
I had two Epi Valve Jr amps. I modded the one that I got used, and at some point it broke (the caps fried, I think) so I stopped playing it. When I moved into my current apartment, I took out the working Epi Valve Jr and turned it up to the edge of breakup and played a bit. Turns out someone in my building really, really didn't like my playing. That got me in trouble with the building management, who promised to evict me if I'm playing that loud again. The Epi Valve Jr is only a 5 watt tube amp, but it doesn't have separate gain controls or master volume, so it gets loud. Too loud.

So off the working Epi Valve Jr went to the used gear store for some money and a wah.

The other day I took out the broken Epi Valve Junior and disconnected the speaker. I used the headphone out of my Orange Microcrush. The headphone jack on the Microcrush is a misnomer -- it killed a pair of Apple earbuds because it is putting out a full 1 watt into that minijack. I made a cable and connected the Epi's speaker to the Orange Microcrush (stereo minijack male to mono 1/4" female jack) and now I'm in SS clean tone heaven. The Orange's internal speaker is like 5" and has a paper cone. It sounds pretty bad, it has no bass at all.

Now, you may not know this, but Epiphone ordered the speakers for the Valve Jr's from Weber, (at least for the run of the amp I own) I think it's a ceramic 8", but don't quote me on that. In any case, it sounds great, it doesn't distort like the little internal speaker on the Microcrush did, and it can get LOUD even at 1 watt of solid state power. I can't stop playing jazzy chord progressions through it. :thumb:

* To anyone that's gonna be like "LOL YOU NEED AN AMP", all you haters suck my Orange Microcrush. Reread the story about playing too loud and realize that not everyone needs a 100 watt full stack, or can play one anywhere convenient.

it has 4 6L6's. Two output transformers driven by 2 6L6's each. On the original 2x12 cab each OT drove one 8ohm speaker. I am going to be running 2 8ohm 2x12 cabs with each OT. I have a Y cable with 1 male stereo cable that has 2 separate mono ends to hook up to the cabs. I am just trying to sell some gear to get the money for it.

That should be pretty cool. 2x6l6 on each cab will be about 50 watts on a side right? Pretty cool.
