So....Santa hooked me up with a basic electronics/soldering tool kit.
Any recommendations on a first pedal kit project that won't stump a 'never-soldered-before' nuebie like me?
GGG vs. BYOC vs. ??
What was y'all's first one?
Any wisdom would be appreciated.

You really can't go wrong with a BYOC.
It comes with everything you need for the pedal and they also have really nice step-by-step documentation.
Watch some videos on the net about how to solder properly. You should be set after that.

GGG's stuff is pretty cool, but he sometimes forgets components. Haven't tried BYOC's stuff yet.
From GGG I've done: 2 BMPs, 2 OSQs and have a Gov'nor kit I just haven't got around to. I also did a Shin Ei™ Companion Fuzz™ with one of his PCBs, which turned out really cool.

built 9 different kits from GGG and only had one problem, he sent the wrong enclosure once and sent me another in 2 days told me to keep the other..... 1 for GGG. I never really dug the BYOC site...
