next thursday, i'll be performing LIVE in DETROIT @ The Old Miami w/ a bunch of really cool cats.

i've never been to Detroit so we are pretty damn excited. should be a fun night w/ lots of different musicians (folk, blues, hip hop, even a spirtual hymns lady! *ooohhhhmmmmmm*).
i'll be making live beats/noise on various devices (mpc, gameboy, circuit bent toys).....plenty of

if u are in the area and can make it out, i'd love to meet yall and kick it...we'll be in detroit for the whole weekend too!

Cost: "we ask for 5 dollars for the musicians many of whom are traveling from out of town

detroit was a blast....saw a lotta cool shit, met a lotta cool peeps, smoked a lotta cool trees...
the show was awesome and the sound guy was great. we're plannin a come back to the D real soon.

was trying to meet up w/ curt but unfortunately did not work out (next time dude!)

the main thing that i noticed while i was there was that the city didnt seem nearly as violent or ghetto as some ppl made it out to be and we cruised some of the supposed hardcore ghetto's (7 mile, joy rd, etc). def run down, but i really love dilapitated city structures, lots of lost beauty in that city.

Detroit is beautiful and amazing for real. I'm Michigan born and bred and I love D-Town. Always cool stuff going on there. Creative folks doing creative things. And the muuuuuusssssiiiiccccc..... one of the best places on earth for making a racket.

Sherm, did you see Timmy Vulgar play this weekend by any chance? Timmy's Organism or Human Eye or any of that stuff? He's one of the greats in my opinion.

Definitely lots of hard working people doing their own thing, plenty of cheap space, and great architecture. Awesome environment for making music. Back in the day, there was a DJ on the radio called The Electrifying Mojo that educated us all.

yea def the vibe we picked up when we were there...honestly it was a lot like my home, rochester ny, just a lot bigger and more spaced out.....detroit is electronic music heaven.

i wanted to find juan atkins while we were there and knock on his door, but i said that to my friends and they had no idea who juan atkins was...fuckin youngsters! LOL

@kosta, na we didnt get to check out too much music while we were there, next time fo sho tho! we wanted to hit up the hamtramck fest but didnt end up goin out there, we hit up the works i think it was called, just some DJs spinnin house and dubstep. lots of sexy hipster broads tho

i dunno if its cause we're from NY, but ppl seemed a lot friendlier and open in the D than in the Roc
