so they passed this law in december that states all dancers at strip clubs in my state need to cover their nipples. why? i have no fucking clue, but my mom has this awesome theory about old men and their wives repressing their sexuality. i sometimes wonder if these people close their eyes in the shower.

There're some great stories about the supreme court and pornography. Supposedly once a month or so they rent a porno and vote on whether or not it was porn.

There was an old standard for what was considered to be porno. If it had any redeeming social value it wasn't porn. So in the middle of many pornographic films they'd stop, do a scene from shakespear and keep on trucking. Supposedly this standard is they're making fun by watching these movies once a month.

I'm pretty sure this spans all of American history. At least back to the Puritans.

The pilgrims had laws against bestiality. It was a big problem, since there were so many more men than women. I mean what else are you going to do if you're in field taking care of sheep all day :idk:

That ^ is what I learned about in my very first class on my very first day of college. Political Science is the most ridiculous thing ever.

Why must craigslist be simultaneously awesome and terrible? I just found an "antique 2X12 speaker cabinet with new celestion speakers and original horn," which is just what I've been looking for, for $40, but that is literally all the information they give. No pictures, they even state that they don't know what brand it is, but that it must go ASAP.

It could be perfect for me. It could turn out to be a PA speaker or accordion amp or something absurd like that and the poster just doesn't know jack(do amp cabs typically have a horn, I'm so clueless on this kind of stuff). They could be a bunch of sketchy black people who stole it and are too lazy to drag it down to a pawn shop. the fact that I even thought of that last one makes me feel incredibly racist. I sent an email with a bunch of questions, so we'll see what happens.

Also, what does "antique" mean?(rhetorical question) Did they mean "vintage" because that I would consider to be anything 80's on back? "Antique" makes me think 50's, maybe early 60's at the latest.

I've decided I won't make a single gear-related decision anymore until I've whined about it to ILF and gotten some kind of guidance.

I know! I feel terrible for even coming up with that. That's what moving out of the city back to rural, rich, white, conserva-topia does to you.

I'm not going to say I'm not racist(but I didn't say I was), because we all know that when you have to tell people you're not something, that typically means you are. Like when someone says "I don't mean to be *something* but..." well that means they really do mean to, but they're just trying to get away with it.
