the only way i can make a fair comparison is to put psychic tv up against coil, and on that measure - balance, easily.

Well here is the thing, Peter Christopherson was in both bands, but was more prominent in Coil... But yea, to me Coil wins... even tho I still love Geneisis to death.

Balance, if only because Genesis sometimes says and does things that annoy me...

I still love Psychic TV (though I could live without their House records, TBH).

PS, MINI-POLL!:

Current 93/Tibet -or- Death In June/Pearce?

hmmm how can i put this... i respect genesis much more than i like him. i just sort of feel like he has an uncanny talent for surrounding himself with interesting people capable of helping him form whatever vision he may have and put it on record. there is no denying the role and influence of christopherson in coil, ptv or even throbbing gristle... basically, just a whole mess of visionary, talented people.

I kind of get off when Throbbing Gristle broke up. I'd still like to check out those Chris And Cosey records, those look hella tight....... I always loved how Chris Carter was obsessed with ABBA...... you read The Wreckers Of Civilization and it's clear it's maybe the best book ever but that perhaps Gen gives himself a little too much credit for TG.........
