for the first... this is as old as from the late 80's but since it's so bloody fukken GREAT on so many levels AND people generally don't know the band :

Fields Of The Nephilim: Love Under Will from the (somewhat) eponymous second album the Nephilim.

That's mindblowing for being a great live band with unconventional and original visions, not stuck in their supposed genre

Chad VG is great. I vaguely remember some interview where he said my two favorite albums by him weren't really his sound, as if to say, "If you like my pop stuff, you're stupid." Whatever, Chad. The title of my blog is actually inspired by "Traffic," which also inspired a crappy story I wrote in college.

Taking a while to find all of these albums. Just so that everyone knows I am on top of going through all the submissions I am going to start starring them * as I finish listening to them (in the OP). Also, I'm listening to the full albums not just a song or two, so it takes a while for that also.

Premise:
So, I have had a FT up for a bit and nobody has wanted any of it, and I don't use most of them. So what I have decided to do is have 2 little contests, and the winners will each get a pedal, which I'll mail to them (and I'll cover the shipping, unless you're out of the conUS - in which case you pay shipping). I'll give the contest 2 weeks (End will be Feb. 11). EDIT: Contest 2 extended until 2/25

Contests:
Contest #1: Recommend me an album (any genre) that I find mindblowing, by a band I have never heard of (may be tough as I have a huge collection).
Contest #2: Write an original song (any genre), record, and send it to me. It must be new though (as in you didn't make it until after I posted this).

Results:
Best album recommendation, and best song wins. Each person can only recommend one album, and submit one song (you can do both though). I'd like at least 10 entries for C1 and at least 5 entries for C2 - to prevent a scenario where only 1 person enters and I have to give away 2 pedals.

Prizes:
Cruzer by Crafter Analog Chorus, and Digitech Bass Synth Wah. (Winner of Contest #2 will have first choice since it's more difficult)
