I'm a little late to the party....but I recently heard these guys, bought the album and I'm digging it.
Sounds like Jesus & Mary Chain meets Joy Division. Perfect for my mood right now.

After buying the record, I discovered the whole Death By Audio connection with the band.
....and I've caught wind of some pedal-game beef floating around these parts regarding DBA.

My first instinct is to take sides. But I can't hate....I dug the album before I knew anything extraneous.
And for that matter, going to a music store in NYC several years ago, and seeing some DBA pedals there made me go "WTF?".....and sparked my interest in hand made fx builders......which eventually led me here.
So I guess I should actually thank them.

I like them too though I have found them not to wear all that well on repeated listenings.

I have a DBA Interstellar Overdriver Supreme and it is a very good and flexible pedal.

I have heard negative things about build quality and customer service.

I am afraid to look under the hood!

Just from what I heard on myspace, I like them too.
I don't think I could put on a CD and listen to it from start to finish though.

Once again my musical horizons have been expanded.

I'm not into them. I don't think the songs are very interesting.

I do think, however, that it's the best advertisement for a pedal company ever made, and I mean that in a good way.

They definitely haven't reinvented the wheel, but they're rolling the noise rock wheel down my street in a way that is satisfying my craving. I just dig the strange way the record is produced more than I think they're brilliant songwriters or something.

i'm a fan. i've always said it sounds like what would have happened had new order went out and bought a bunch of fuzz pedals instead of keyboards. nothing new here but who cares, it sounds good.

Saw them live opening for NIN, they were without a doubt the loudest band I've seen, and they left on strobe lights for like 4 songs straight...

Needless to say, it was awesome.

zip-ties on wires = bad idea.
i hate the idea of squeezing that shit all tight together and tightening up the connections from the point of the zip-tie to the solder joints.

if you like joy division and j&mc, check out the crystal stilts. maybe it's yer bag, maybe not. i got their album on vinyl and i'm digging it a lot. but pretty much anything vinyl turns me on.

"Don't Think Lover" is a awesome song! I've had their album for a while and it really is more Jesus and Mary Chain than anything else but whatev's. If J&MC aren't going to do anything new why not have these guys do it for them. No replacements but it's a decent record. Oh yeah Ocean is the shit as well.

They're pretty alright. I dig them. I feel like the whole noise pop/rock J&MC stuff is pulled off a lot better by The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart or Ringo Deathstarr. I've neglected to go see them live on three or four occasions, so maybe i'll do that and then fall in love... but in fact, i hate strobe lights.
