I own the Robot and it's super awesome, but the whole line (except maybe the fuzz war) is haneously overpriced. I do love A Place To Bury Strangers though.

I do agree there seems to be some great alternatives at better price, but I have yet to find a pedal I don't have that I lust after more than a Robot
yeah i dig 'em! i have most of the line and love them, my faves are their overdrive and fuzzgun. the robot is very cool, but can't seem to find a way to "use" it on a regular basis though...
The Octave Clang and Super Sonic Fuzzgun are pretty cool too. The Fuzzhugger Phantom Arcade can cover the Clang, however, and way more at a much lower price. The Robot is really unique though, especially the arpeggiator, and it glows in the dark to boot!

That's my worry too, especially when I'm not that skilled with a guitar to begin with
I have a Fuzz War, and while I like it I must admit that it hasn't gotten much use since I got my Twosome. I've been contemplating flipping it, but haven't decided yet. Used to have a Robot, it was definately cool, but I found that it was really hard to get useable sounds from it, so I sold it (to fund the purchase of the Twosome which has kicked the Fuzz War off my board). I'd like to get my hands on an Octave Clang or a Sound Saw some day.

But as long as it's fun to play on right?
yeah dude, way fun! might be cool just to feed loops into it
This always reminded me of the robot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_lN0Secy ... re=related I liked the clang I tried out, but it was stupid expensive The fuzzgun was pretty cool too, I liked the more papery thin texture it had compared to the fuzz factory The overdrive bored me, thick but muffled
after seeing whats inside these pedals i can not like them. its a disgrace that they charge 300+ dollars for a sound that you can get for a third of the price and with much better build quality.
I traded an Interstellar Overdriver for a DLS with my main man, fever606, a couple months back. He put the IOD up in the B/S/T forums a few days ago and I bought it back from him. I seriously love this pedal. Just massive. The only pedal I've ever paid for twice.
It hasn't always worked in every band setting, but for my current rig it KILLS pretty much everything.
I had the bass Interstellar Overdriver for a while and on passive basses I thought it rocked! The Fuzz War is a pedal I keep meaning to get but never do... something else always comes up
