Indie Distribution - What are you guys using?

Post by Noise... »

I'm looking at starting up a music project that's been in my head for the past few months. I want to distribute via iTunes and other digital stores, and maybe do limited runs of physical CDs/records.

Where should I start? Is somethings like CDBaby or Tunecore a good option?

I'd appreciate any advice from you guys - I know some of you have projects going that are doing similar things, so I know that some of you have some more knowledge on this than I do!

I've had a Tunecore account for a few years and it works well. Knocks out most of the digital retailers. Other than that; self distro through the mail.

Bandcamp is good for digital.

+ 1 to self distribution.

I buy way more albums direct from bands than I do through stores.
